ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has said that the masterminds of the Gujarat massacre have evaded justice and now they were holding key government positions in India.
In a statement, Pakistan’s Foreign Office spokesperson said that “with its latest statement, the Indian government has attempted to hide behind deception and fabrication to coverup the truth of the 2002 Gujarat massacre. It is a shameful story of genocide, lynching, execution rape and plunder. The reality of the matter is that the culprits of the Gujarat massacre have escaped justice and now holding major government positions in India,
The spokesperson said that no amount of verbosity could obscure the murders committed by the “Saffron terrorists” in India, adding that Hindutva, the political philosophy of the ruling party, had fostered an atmosphere of hostility, division, and impunity.
BJP-RSS involved in Gujarat killing eludes justice
The Hindutva-driven polity in India had a strong culture of impunity. The murder of justice under the RSS-BJP regime was made clear by the acquittal of the mastermind and perpetrators of the barbaric attack on the Delhi-Lahore Samjhota Express, which resulted in the deaths of 40 Pakistani citizens on Indian territory.
“In India’s states, official support is given to intimidation and demonization of religious minorities. Hindutva fanatics have been let loose to engage in cow vigilantism, loot places of worship, and assault religious gatherings”, said in a statement.
The spokesperson further said that while peddling a false narrative of suffering, it instigated repression in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and supported and funded terrorist organizations in South Asia.
The spokesperson said that just in this last week, a dossier with indisputable proof of India’s complicity in the 2021 terrorist assault in a quiet Lahore Johar Town was made public. The news release quoted the spokesperson as saying, “The information acquired with international help proves that the Lahore Johar Town attack was provoked, planned, and sponsored by the Indian state.
Gujarat Butcher Hindutva Dissatisfied Regime
The Indian statement also reflected India’s mounting dissatisfaction with its inability to demonize and isolate Pakistan. India was urgently trying to use international venues to push its agenda to disparage and target Pakistan after failing to stop Pakistan’s removal from the FATF Grey List in October and the international acknowledgment of Pakistan’s counterterrorism efforts.
“For a nation with such lofty ideals about who it is and where it belongs in the world, India is adopting a strategy of pettiness toward its neighbors. The aim of the RSS BJP Regime to remake South Asia in its image will not come true, we are convinced, as the international community will see through this facade,” the spokesperson said.
