FAISALABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior vice president and chief organizer, Maryam Nawaz, on Friday launched a broadside at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and said the latter had dragged the country to the economic crisis.
Addressing a convention, Maryam Nawaz bashed Imran Khan over reaching an agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). She said, “Imran Khan had left Pakistan in severe economic hardships by reaching a deal with the international lender.”
Maryam Nawaz said, “When the court asks Imran Khan to appear, he makes excuses. Imran Khan remains ready for staging rallies but gets ill in connection with appearing before the court.”
The PML-N leader took a jibe at Imran Khan, saying, “Why did PTI workers come to protect Imran Khan? He should protect himself with the money he plunders.”
Maryam Nawaz claims Nawaz Sharif was poisoned in captivity
Earlier today, Maryam Nawaz claimed that Nawaz Sharif was poisoned in captivity, which slowed his platelets count.
She said when Nawaz Sharif was fighting for his life, it worried some people and made them allow the former prime minister to leave the country. “Time will reveal that Imran Khan was also part of this plan,” she added.
