ISLAMABAD: Today marks the solemn occasion of the martyrdom anniversary of Captain Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed, the valiant soldier who was awarded the prestigious Nishan-e-Haider, Pakistan’s highest military honour.
Captain Muhammad Sarwar’s unwavering courage and indomitable spirit were demonstrated during his defence of the motherland, culminating in his ultimate sacrifice at Tilpatra in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) in the year 1948, according to state media.
In remembrance of this national hero, the Armed Forces of Pakistan, along with the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and services Chiefs, have come together to pay their heartfelt tribute to Captain Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed.
Through a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), his unparalleled chivalry, unwavering resolve, and unwavering fortitude are being honoured and celebrated. His legacy of bravery serves as a powerful reminder of the extraordinary sacrifices made by the armed forces of Pakistan to safeguard the motherland’s sovereignty and protect its people.

According to the ISPR, Director General Rawalpindi Garrison Security Affairs(RGSA) laid floral wreath at Captain Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed’s mausoleum in his native town Sanghori, Gujjar Khan. A smartly turned-out contingent of Pakistan Army presented guard of honour.
People from different walks of life, civil and military officials and relatives of Shuhada attended the wreath laying ceremony.
