RAWALPINDI: On January 29, 2024, the nation mourned the loss of soldier Muhammad Tariq Shaheed, a brave resident of Badin, Sindh, who laid down his life in the line of duty.

Martyred in an ambush by terrorists in the disputed area between South Sudan during the United Nations peacekeeping mission, he was accorded the solemnity of a hero’s burial in his native Badin.
