PESHAWAR: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurganzeb on Tuesday inaugurated rehabilitation and renovation work of the Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation building in Peshawar, including the Chagai Auditorium, which was ransacked during the 9 May vandalism.
Speaking on the occasion, she said that as per the directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the renovation work of the PBC building would be completed on emergency basis as the federal government wanted to restore the recreational and infotainment facility for the public of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Marriyum directed the PBC management to digitalize the PBC’s archives, including musical record and sound tracks.
Earlier on her arrival along with Advisor to the Prime Minister Ameer Muqam, she was received by Sohail Ali Khan, Secretary Information, and Tahir Hassan, PBC Director General.
