LAHORE: Marriyum Aurangzeb, the information secretary of the PML-N, Saturday said that Nawaz Sharif is set to assume the role of Pakistan’s prime minister for the fourth time.
During a press conference held at Minar-e-Pakistan, she emphasized that Pakistan will mark a historic moment today as Nawaz Sharif returns after an absence of four years.
“The homecoming of Nawaz Sharif is a hope for the people of Pakistan. All eyes are towards Minar-e-Pakistan for his historic speech,” a senior PML-N leader said.
Discussing Nawaz Sharif’s itinerary, she mentioned that the former prime minister would head straight to Minar-e-Pakistan upon arriving at the airport.
It is anticipated to become Pakistan’s most significant political spectacle ever, with the entire nation extending a hearty welcome, she remarked.
Responding to an inquiry, the ex-minister emphasized the PML-N’s commitment to respecting the PPP and underscored that her party refrains from engaging in political adversary bashing.
She further conveyed that both Maryam Nawaz and Hamza Shehbaz are scheduled to arrive at the venue by 3 PM.
Shehbaz Sharif made it abundantly clear that we must maintain traffic orderliness today, ensuring no disruptions, she stated.
