LAHORE, Pakistan: Former champions Quetta Gladiators received a significant boost ahead of their Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 10 clash with Peshawar Zalmi, as New Zealand all-rounder Mark Chapman joined up with the squad on Monday.

In a video shared via the franchise’s social media platforms, Chapman was seen meeting team mentor Sir Vivian Richards before opening his kit bag and pulling on the Quetta Gladiators’ jersey for the first time.

The Kiwi all-rounder expressed his excitement about making his PSL debut and reconnecting with his fellow New Zealand teammates.

He also spoke fondly of his previous experiences in Pakistan.

“Hi everyone, Mark Chapman here. I’ve always enjoyed playing in Pakistan. At Quetta, we’ve got a few familiar faces — some Kiwi lads I’m excited to link up with, and quite a few players I’ve come up against while playing Pakistan. I’m looking forward to teaming up with them,” Chapman said in a video message.

Quetta Gladiators currently sit fourth in the PSL 10 standings, with two points from three games.

They kicked off their campaign with an emphatic 120-run win over long-time rivals Peshawar Zalmi but have since suffered back-to-back defeats.

Their upcoming match is set to take place against Karachi Kings at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Friday.
