Manga Productions Premiers Anime Film “The Journey” in Hong Kong

ISLAMABAD: Manga Productions has premiered an anime film “The Journey” in Hong Kong, China, at the Cyberport Cinema in conjunction with the Asia MENA Collaboration Forum.

Magna Productions is a subsidiary of Mohammad bin Salman Foundation “Misk”. Its premier featured renowned guests from Arab diplomatic consulates and government agencies, the content industry, entertainment figures, and major news organizations.

Dr. Essam Bukhary, CEO of Manga Productions said that the aim of the film was building a unique friendship with partners in China in the fields of generating and distributing creative content and training talents.

Distribution deal signed in Hong Kong

The company has also inked a distribution deal with the video streaming platform in Hong Kong, MyTV Super for “The Journey”. The agreement will start on 19 December in Hong Kong and during the winter vacation in Macau.

Manga Productions has also signed an exclusive deal with Salon Fims (H.K.) and Digital Daylight Animation to distribute the film in fifteen Asian countries in more than 46 platforms and 5 languages.

The movie has recently been presented at the Septimius Film Festival in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and has won the Best Experimental Film prize, making it the first Saudi and Arab film to win this prestigious award.
