ISLAMABAD/LONDON: A man has been arrested in connection with a drive-by shooting outside a church near St Aloysius Church on Phoenix Road in London, according to the officials.
Four women and two girls, aged 7 and 12, were injured in the shooting outside the church near London’s Euston station on Saturday afternoon.

The Metropolitan Police said a 22 years old man was arrested after a car was intercepted in Cricklewood Lane, Barnet, shortly before 4 pm the next day (Sunday). The police have taken him into custody. The seven years old girl wounded in the happening remains in stable but critical condition, while the 48 years old woman suffered potentially life-changing injuries.
According to Sky News, the 12 years old suffered leg injuries but was discharged from the hospital and is expecting a full recovery. Three women aged 54, 41, and 21 were also taken to the medical facility after the incident. Their conditions were assessed as non-life threatening.
As per Police, they believe the gunman fired a shotgun around 1:30 pm from a car before driving off. The shots sent mourners screaming and running, with many of them sheltering inside the church.
The shooting took place after a memorial service for Fresia Calderon and her 20 years old daughter, Sara Sanchez who had died within a month of one another in November 2022.
