LONDON; Malala Yousafzai, a Nobel Prize winner and prominent global activist, has shared her relief at the reunion of women, children, and families during the temporary ceasefire in Israel’s conflict with Gaza.
In a post on her X account, Malala acknowledged the ceasefire but expressed concern for the future. She stated that tomorrow, the children of Gaza would wake up grieving for their loved ones and facing the desperate need for essential resources like food and water.
Furthermore, she noted their fears of renewed attacks on their homes, streets, and schools in the coming days.
The activist called on the world to keep looking for a complete ceasefire and humanitarian aid to the people of the war-torn region.

She said, “The needless suffering must end. This isn’t a matter of opinion — it’s international law. I continue my call for a ceasefire,” she posted on X.
She further demanded the Israeli government end these “indiscriminate attacks” that have cost thousands of innocent Palestinian children and families their lives.
In response to Israel’s bombing of schools and hospitals, which has killed thousands of children since October 7, Malala emphasized earlier this month that children and schools should never be targets.
