The incident occurred near the village of Strymba in the Nadvirna district around 5 p.m. local time (1400 GMT) when a 150-millimeter diameter oil pipeline ruptured, the Ukraine State Emergency Service confirmed. The rupture led to a substantial oil spill covering an area of approximately 100 square meters.

While the exact cause of the fire remains unclear, local media outlets have reported a powerful explosion preceding the incident. Emergency services are actively working at the scene to contain the fire and assess the extent of the damage.

The situation has raised concerns about environmental impact and the safety of nearby communities. Authorities are closely monitoring the incident and coordinating efforts to control the fire and mitigate potential hazards.
