ISLAMABAD: The upcoming 12 hours are expected to witness hot and humid weather across most regions of the country.
However, a respite can be anticipated in the form of rain-thundershower, specifically in the Pothohar region, northeast Punjab, upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Temperature readings for key cities during the morning hours were as follows:
- Islamabad experienced a temperature of twenty-seven degrees Celsius,
- Lahore and Peshawar were recorded at twenty-eight degrees Celsius,
- Karachi registered a relatively higher temperature of thirty degrees Celsius,
- Quetta observed a mild temperature of twenty-two degrees Celsius,
- Gilgit and Murree were considerably cooler at sixteen degrees Celsius, and
- Muzaffarabad reported a temperature of twenty-two degrees Celsius.
As per the weather forecast issued by the Met Office for the Indian Illegally-Occupied territories of Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, and Shopian, partly cloudy conditions are expected with potential rain and wind. Conversely, Anantnag and Baramula are projected to experience partly cloudy and dry weather, while Jammu is anticipated to remain hot and dry.
Temperature readings in these areas during the morning were as follows:
- Srinagar, Pulwama, and Anantnag reported a temperature of seventeen degrees Celsius,
- Jammu recorded a relatively warmer temperature of twenty-eight degrees Celsius,
- Leh witnessed a cooler temperature of ten degrees Celsius,
- Shopian observed a mild temperature of sixteen degrees Celsius, and
- Baramula experienced a temperature of eighteen degrees Celsius.
