Mainly Dry Weather Expected in Most Parts of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The weather forecast for the upcoming 12 hours paints a diverse picture across Pakistan and the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir region. While most parts of the country can expect dry weather, the upper regions are poised for cold temperatures. However, in Southwest Balochistan, there’s a twist in the forecast with partly cloudy conditions and the possibility of rain and wind thunderstorms.

Let’s take a closer look at the temperatures recorded in some of the major cities this morning:

  • Islamabad: The capital city started the day at a relatively chilly twelve degrees centigrade.
  • Lahore: In Lahore, the temperature was more comfortable, starting at nineteen degrees.
  • Karachi: The port city was considerably warmer, with a morning temperature of twenty-seven degrees.
  • Peshawar: Peshawar experienced a cool morning at sixteen degrees centigrade.
  • Quetta: Quetta, located in the upper regions, started the day at a brisk ten degrees.
  • Gilgit: The mountainous region of Gilgit recorded a crisp six degrees centigrade.
  • Murree: The scenic hill station, Murree, began the day at eleven degrees.
  • Muzafarabad: The capital of Azad Jammu and Kashmir had a pleasant morning at fourteen degrees centigrade.

Turning our attention to the weather conditions in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir region, we find variations in the forecast:

  • Srinagar, Anantnag, and Baramula: These cities can expect a cool morning with temperatures around six degrees centigrade.
  • Jammu: Jammu, on the other hand, is comparatively warmer, with a morning temperature of fifteen degrees.
  • Leh: Leh, in the high-altitude region, experienced sub-zero temperatures at minus three degrees centigrade.
  • Pulwama and Shopian: These areas also had a chilly morning with temperatures around five degrees centigrade.
