ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast primarily cold weather, with upper regions experiencing cloudy conditions for the next twelve hours. However, Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, the Pothohar region, Upper Punjab, and Kashmir are expected to receive rain and snowfall in mountainous areas. Additionally, shallow to moderate fog may persist over some plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh.
This morning’s temperatures in major cities were recorded as follows: Islamabad at eight degrees Celsius, Lahore at twelve, Karachi at twenty, Peshawar at nine, Quetta at eleven, and Gilgit, Murree, and Muzaffarabad at two degrees Celsius.

In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the forecast predicts cloudy weather with chances of rain, snow, and wind-thunderstorms in Srinagar, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramulla. Leh is expected to experience cloudy weather with chances of snow and wind-thunderstorms. Jammu is predicated to have cloudy weather with chances of rain and wind-thunderstorms.

Rain in Islamabad
Though the MET office has forecasted the rain by mid night in Islamabad and then updated by start of night around 07:00 PM. However, the kind God has started shower before evening and around 02:00 PM, light rain started in and around Islamabad. This rain is like feed of ground and the green or colored plants raise above the ground. It also provides groundwater for the entire Potohar region across the year. In local terms, it is also called the grains are coming from the sky, when winter rain runs for days. It is the first rain of the winter, and the year which would remove the cough, pneumonia and other diseases spread because of dry weather.
