ISLAMABAD: Mainly cold weather is expected across most parts of Pakistan while in upper districts temperatures will fall further during the next twelve hours.
However, rain and snowfall are likely over the mountainous regions in Islamabad, the Pothohar region, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and coastal areas of Balochistan during the evening and night. Additionally, dense fog and smog are expected to persist in the plain areas of Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, and upper Sindh, leading to very cold temperatures in these regions. Recorded temperatures in major cities this morning were four degrees Celsius in Islamabad and Muzafarabad, eight degrees in Lahore, sixteen degrees in Karachi, five degrees in Peshawar, seven degrees in Quetta, and one degree in both Gilgit and Murree.
In the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir region, Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, Shopian, Anantnag, and Baramula are forecasted to experience partly cloudy and very cold conditions. Conversely, Jammu is expected to have partly cloudy and cold weather. Recorded temperatures this morning were minus-one degree Celsius in both Srinagar and Baramulla, nine degrees in Jammu, minus-nine degrees in Leh, minus-two degrees in Pulwama, and zero degrees in both Anantnag and Shopian.
