Weather Update: Mainly Cold, Dry Weather Expected in Lahore, Islamabad and Other Parts of Pakistan: PMD

ISLAMABAD: Expect predominantly cold and dry conditions across most plains of the country with partial cloud cover in upper districts over the next 12 hours.

Fog and smog are likely to persist in the plains of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and upper Sindh during morning and night hours.

This morning’s temperatures in major cities were as follows:

Islamabad and Peshawar at five degrees Celsius, Lahore at eleven, Karachi at seventeen, Quetta at minus one, Gilgit at minus two, Murree at three, and Muzaffarabad at four degrees Celsius.

The forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir indicates very cold and partly cloudy weather expected in Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramulla, while Jammu anticipates partly cloudy and cold conditions.

Recorded morning temperatures were:

Srinagar, Pulwama, and Shopian at minus two degrees Celsius, Jammu at ten, Leh at minus nine, and Anantnag and Baramulla at minus one degree Celsius.
