ISLAMABAD: An earthquake measuring 5 on the Richter Scale struck several areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province on Thursday.
According to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre (NSMC), the epicenter of the quake was in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan and its depth was recorded at 104 km.
The tremors were felt in Swat, Malakand and Shangla which triggered a panic situation among the citizens. There here have been no reports of damage or casualties so far.
Last month, a 5.4 magnitude earthquake hit Islamabad and different cities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Punjab.
