Simultaneously, tremors were experienced in various regions of the country, including Samahni and Bhimbhar in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Peshawar, the provincial capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

As of now, there are no immediate reports of casualties or damages resulting from the earthquake.

Pakistan is no stranger to natural disasters such as earthquakes, given its location on the boundary of the Indian and Eurasian tectonic plates. The seismic activity arises from the Indian plate pushing north into the Eurasian plate.
