During the month of Ramadan, medical services were offered in the Prophet’s Mosque and various locations around Madinah, serving more than 55,000 pilgrims.
According to the Madinah Health Cluster, 15,040 people visited the Al-Safia Health Centre at the Prophet’s Mosque plazas for medical care, while 10,797 people were treated at Al-Haram Hospital.
The Bab Jibril Health Centre, located on the eastern side of the squares and operating nonstop, cared for 1,240 patients.
Also, during the holy month, 24,680 passengers and Umrah pilgrims were treated at the Health Control Centre in the Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport.
A total of 1,431 patients were transported by ambulance to various medical facilities. While 49 patients received cardiac catheterizations, 1 required open heart surgery.
Health clusters have been put up at all entry and departure points in preparation for the influx of pilgrims and tourists expected during Ramadan.
The Haramain High Speed Railway Health Centre, one of the main sites for Umrah pilgrims coming and departing the city, treated 1,791 persons, according to the health cluster.
