PARIS: Emmanuel Macron, the French President has strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Russia. In a statement the Elysee Palace stated that “France stands in solidarity with the victims, their families, and the entire Russian nation.” As per media reports, ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack in Moscow.
Russian officials said that around eleven people have been arrested following gunmen attacked a concert hall in Moscow and opened fire on the people,
According to Russian state news agency Tass, the chief of Russia’s Federal Security Service informed Russian President Vladimir Putin about the latest development. Russian authorities confirmed that around 115 people including three children were killed in the attack.
Pictures shared by Russian official media Saturday showed emergency vehicles still gathered in front of the ruins of Crocus City Hall, a shopping center and music venue with a capacity of over 6,000 people in Krasnogorsk, Moscow.
Friday’s attack in Moscow came just days following Russian President Vladimir Putin cemented his clutch on power in a highly scored electoral victory. The assault was the deadliest in Russia in recent years and came as Moscow’s fight in Ukraine dragged into a 3rd year.
