London’s Luton Airport Suspends Fights Amid Blaze

LONDON: A blaze incident at London’s Luton Airport on late Tuesday force authorities to suspend flight operation, Western media reported.

Luton Airport, situated about 56 kilometers north of central London, suspended as emergency services respond to a car fire that has spread in Terminal Car Park 2.

The airport administration in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter said access to the airport is currently restricted asking people not to visit the airport at this time.

The Video posted on social media showed police and fire department trying to extinguish fire outside a multi-story parking lot engulfed in flames.

In August UK flight control operator National Air Traffic Services suspend flight operations at all airports of the country due to a technical issue.

Thousands of airline passengers confronted delays and flight cancellations after Britain’s air traffic control system developed the technical fault.
