ISLAMABAD/GRACELAND: Singer and writer Lisa Marie Presley will be buried at Graceland, the famed house of her father Elvis Presley. Marie’s final resting place will be next to her late son Benjamin Keough, who committed suicide in 2020.
Marie, 54, died after a fatal cardiac arrest in her home in Calabasas, California on Thursday. She was the sole child of ‘King of Rock ‘n’ Roll’ Elvis Presley.
According to a spokeswoman for her daughter, “Lisa Marie’s last resting place will be in Graceland, close to her beloved son, Ben.”
Benjamin Keough committed suicide in August 2020 at the age of 27. Marie published an essay for People Magazine about her experience with grief following the death of her son in one of her last social media posts. “Since I was nine, I’ve had to deal with grief, death, and loss. I’ve experienced more of it than anyone should have in a lifetime, yet somehow, I’ve managed to go this far. “Whether we like it or not, death and sorrow are inevitable.”

Her mother, Priscilla, and her three kids, Riley Keough, an actress, Finley, and Harper Lockwood, are among the survivors to mourn her death.
According to the Graceland website, Marie became the sole heir to the Graceland estate and its 17,500-square-foot mansion when she turned 25. According to the estate’s website, the mansion is second only to the White House as the most visited home in the United States.
She had gone to Graceland a few days before she died to commemorate her father’s 88th birthday on January 8. After hearing of her passing, sympathizers lighted candles and placed flowers outside the mansion’s gates.
