LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) Justice Shahid Karim, on Friday, instructed the Lahore district public prosecutor to release a notification for a two-day work-from-home.
The LHC heard petitions addressing the issue of smog, and Justice Shahid Karim mandated the public prosecutor to issue the work-from-home notification within a week.
Expressing dissatisfaction, he noted that despite the court’s order to close schools on Saturdays, the caretaker Punjab government had neglected to comply.
Justice Shahid Karim directed the Lahore deputy commissioner’s council to address the issue promptly and issue a notification for work from home on weekends within a week of business days.
Furthermore, he commented that the Punjab government targets the trader community to divert attention from its perceived incompetence.
