SEOUL, South Korea: Top leaders from South Korea, Japan, and China emphasized the critical importance of North Korean denuclearization and maintaining stability on the Korean Peninsula during a trilateral summit on Monday.
The denuclearization of North Korea and stability on the Korean Peninsula are in the best interests of all three of our nations, as confirmed once again by Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida. South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol echoed this sentiment, stressing that the issue is a “shared responsibility and interest” for the trio.
The leaders underscored their commitment to working collaboratively towards achieving a peaceful and stable region, highlighting the need for diplomatic efforts and coordinated strategies to address the challenges posed by North Korea’s nuclear ambitions.
