ISLAMABAD/WASHINGTON: American comedian Bob Saget’s wife, Kelly Rizzo has asked Twitter CEO Elon Musk to reinstate her late husband’s account with the blue checkmark to commemorate his first death anniversary.
The “Full House” actor’s account lost its verified check mark sometime last year due to inactivity after his passing. According to Variety, he still has 2.2 million followers on Twitter.
“Hello, Elon Musk –- today on the first anniversary of Bob’s passing, I saw he’s no longer verified” Rizzo tweeted from her own account.
Rizzo remarks on Saget’s love of Twitter
“My husband was a huge Twitter fan. Could something be done to honor his legacy? Thank you kindly (friends, please help),” she added.
“And the only reason I am even talking about it is that I know Bob would be very disappointed,” said Rizzo. “Hey, if someone visits my profile and sees all the jokes I’ve tweeted over the years, how would they know it’s for sure me!? he would exclaim.”
On her Instagram page, Rizzo also posted a beautiful tribute to Saget and presented a reel of images and videos.
“One year. Our hearts are so heavy. How could I have gone an entire year without speaking to or seeing my loving husband? The surreal-ness never gets any less,” She added.
Rizzo went on to say, “I consider myself really fortunate to be his wife. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have shared my life with his warmth, humor, brilliance, and love. I consider myself fortunate since I got to stand by his girls. The fact that I got to see him directly make people happy, help those in need, and improve the world makes me the luckiest person in the world.”
Bob passed away on January 9, 2022, at the age of 65, after being discovered unconscious in his Orlando hotel room. He was staying in the city while doing comedy events nearby. According to the medical examiner, Saget’s death was caused by a head injury he sustained after a fall.
Bob and Rizzo married in 2018. He has three daughters from his first marriage to Sherri Kramer, which lasted from 1982 until 1997.
