Landlord Cut off Legs of donkey in Punjab

MUZAFFARGARH: In a shocking development, a landlord chopped off two legs of a donkey in Jatoi Tehsil, Muzaffargarh. The incident occurred when the poor donkey entered into his field for search of water. The owner of the Donkey filed an FIR against the influential landlord.

The station house officer (SHO) of Jatoi police station said that the accused used a hoe to amputate the animal. The injured donkey received medical assistance from the Livestock Department. Police said that the accused has been arrested and investigation has been started over the matter.  This act of cruelty adds to a growing list of animal abuse cases in Pakistan.

Last month in Rawalpindi, an influential man chopped off the ears of a pregnant donkey for entering in his farm. Similarly, in Sindh’s Sanghar area, a landlord cut a female camel’s legs.
