Lance Reddick, Star of John Wick, Dies Aged 60 in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES: Prominent actor Lance Reddick has died at age 60, media reported on Friday. The actor was best known for his famous role as a no-nonsense police head on the much-admired TV series “The Wire”. However, many fans know him for his great work in the “John Wick” film series.

According to media reports the actor was found dead at 9:30 a.m. Friday in his Studio City home, Los Angeles.  However, the cause of his death remains unknown.

Recent social media posts and messages appeared to show Lance Reddick in good health and spirits, with his last social media post showing the actor smiling with his dogs at his home.

Some media reports suggest that the actor had a guest appearance scheduled for the upcoming week on Kelly Clarkson’s show.

Known for playing hard-boiled police chiefs, Lance Reddick studied music and received a Bachelor of Music from the University of Rochester. He shifted to Boston in the 1980s and studied Fine Arts at Yale in 1994.
