Kyrgyzstan’s Businessmen Eager for Collaboration with Pakistan: Honorary Consul

LAHORE: The Honorary Consul of Kyrgyzstan Meher Kashif Younis on Sunday highlighted the burgeoning interest of Kyrgyz entrepreneurs in establishing stronger economic relations with their Pakistani counterparts.

During his recent two-week visit to Kyrgyzstan accompanied by a delegation of exporters and importers led by Chaudhry Faran Shahid Arain, Younis shared the outcomes of fruitful engagements.

He highlighted that the Pakistani trade delegation, under his stewardship, actively participated in constructive meetings with representatives from both the private and public sectors. Discussions primarily revolved around exploring avenues for collaboration in key sectors such as pharmaceuticals, textiles, and education.

Younis noted the overwhelmingly positive response from Kyrgyz counterparts, indicative of a mutual eagerness for partnership. Beyond sector-specific initiatives, the delegation underscored the significance of bolstering overall bilateral trade cooperation, aiming to foster mutual prosperity and regional stability.

Highlighting the evolving global economic landscape, Younis stressed the importance of partnerships founded on mutual respect, trust, and aligned objectives. He characterized the visit as a pivotal step towards realizing shared economic aspirations, laying the groundwork for a robust and enduring partnership.

Emphasizing the potential of the pharmaceutical industry for mutual growth, Younis, also Chairman of Kyrgyzstan Trade House Lahore, highlighted opportunities for collaboration in research, manufacturing, and distribution. Leveraging their respective strengths and resources, both nations could enhance access to essential medicines and strengthen healthcare infrastructure.

Moreover, Younis underscored the textile sector as another promising avenue for synergies, emphasizing opportunities for production, technology exchange, and market access. 

Recognizing the rich textile heritage and skilled workforce in both countries, he advocated for joint ventures to create high-quality, competitively priced products for domestic and international markets.
