BISHKEK: Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov has said that Bishkek is working hard to fight organized crime and this work will soon be completed.

He said this during a meeting with the Special Representative of the UN Secretary General Natalia Herman.

Kamchybek Tashiev, the chairman of the Kyrgyz State Committee for National Security (GKNB), has already assured citizens that all organized crime groups would be eradicated in Kyrgyzstan and that no one would be spared.

“The fight against organized crime groups will continue. We will eliminate all groups. There will be none of them in Kyrgyzstan, no one will put pressure on business,” the head of the GKNB promised.

It seems that he kept his promise. After all elimination of the main criminal authoritarian Kamchy Kolbaev, who for many years controlled the criminal world of Kyrgyzstan, is a vivid confirmation of this.

Such decisive actions of the authorities demonstrate that the fight against the criminal world is gaining momentum.  After the authorities have shown their strong political will in this matter, the citizens of Kyrgyzstan can sleep safely without any fear of the criminal groups.

“All organized crime groups will be completely liquidated in Kyrgyzstan. The leaders of OCG (Organized Criminal Groups), if you can’t live quietly, then leave here. All those who remain in Kyrgyzstan will be held accountable,” Tashiev stated.

Moreover, he promised that the heads and members of the OCG who are at large will be brought to justice.

“Organized criminal groups will be completely destroyed. Now, my words are probably heard not only by ordinary citizens, but also by members of organized crime groups, bandits. I will warn you once again. The President has set a task before us to eradicate criminality in Kyrgyzstan. The leader of an organized crime group who does not leave the country will be punished, he will not be left free. I can say this with all responsibility,” Tashiev said earlier.

As noted by the head of the SCNS, this is especially true for those active members and heads of organized crime groups who raid property from good citizens.
