BISHKEK: President Sadyr Japarov of the Kyrgyz Republic is embarking on a working visit to New York, USA, spanning from September 17 to 21, to actively participate in the proceedings of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly. His visit to the international forum is indicative of Kyrgyzstan’s commitment to global cooperation and its proactive role in addressing pressing global challenges.
During this visit, President Japarov will participate in a series of significant events. On September 18, he will contribute to the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development, underscoring Kyrgyzstan’s dedication to advancing sustainable development goals.
Kyrgyz President’s Scheduled Activities During Visit
On September 19, President Sadyr Japarov is scheduled to deliver a pivotal speech on the opening day of the General Debate at the UN General Assembly. Additionally, he will participate in the inaugural Summit of Heads of State of Central Asia, joined by President Joe Biden of the United States.
The sidelines of the UN General Assembly will provide a platform for President Japarov to engage in crucial meetings with prominent figures, including UN Secretary-General António Guterres and UNDP Administrator Achim Steiner. He will also have the opportunity to meet with heads of various foreign nations and international financial institutions, further advancing Kyrgyzstan’s diplomatic ties and cooperation on a global scale.
