ISLAMABAD: A business community delegation of Kyrgyzstan on Thursday described Pakistan as a promising destination for investment, particularly in the food sector.
The head of the Shoro company delegation Zhumadil Egemberdiev expressed keen interest in exploring the investment avenues and collaborations within the vibrant food industry in Pakistan, especially in the Punjab province.
Talking to Meher Kashif Younis, Chairman of Kyrgyzstan Trade House and Coordinator to the Federal Tax Ombudsman, Egemberdiev stressed the need for focusing on a mutual aim of fostering economic growth and enhancing bilateral relations.
He said recognizing the abundant resources, growing consumer demand, and skilled workforce in Pakistan, Kyrgyz businessmen were enthusiastic about the opportunities for joint ventures and partnerships that could drive innovation, create employment opportunities, and bring market expansion.
He said that the food industry, being a necessary component of both nations’ economies, offered a wide range of opportunities for collaboration.
Egemberdiev said Kyrgyzstan’s expertise in certain food items and processing techniques could effectively synergize with the rich agricultural resources in Pakistan and establish world-standard food processing facilities.
He added that this potential partnership could lead to the creation of value-added products, better supply chains, and a broader market reach.
Collaboration Between Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan
He also proposed to set up a collaborative platform that facilitated knowledge exchange, communication, and business matchmaking between Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan.
On the occasion, Meher Kashif Younis said that he believed that the realization of such collaborations could benefit the economies of the two countries as well as contribute to the world food market efficiently.
Younis said that he hoped for a partnership built on mutual trust, respect, and a shared commitment to excellence.
