LOS ANGELES: Kylie Jenner has quietly addressed speculation about a split from Hollywood actor Timothée Chalamet, after his absence from her recent birthday celebrations sparked rumours about the couple’s relationship.
The Kardashians star marked her 28th birthday last weekend with a paint-and-sip gathering, cake and a family celebration organised by her sister Kendall Jenner.
Chalamet, however, was not present, leading to widespread claims online that the pair had ended their relationship after two years together.
Jenner, who is also the founder of Kylie Cosmetics, appeared to silence the rumours when she showed support for Chalamet on social media.
She ‘liked’ the Instagram post in which the Call Me By Your Name actor unveiled the trailer of his upcoming film Marty Supreme on 12 August.
A source close to the couple told US media outlets that the relationship remains intact, attributing their time apart to conflicting professional schedules.
“They haven’t seen each other for a few weeks only because Timothée’s been filming Dune in Budapest, and Kylie’s been busy working too,” the insider told E! Online.
“They FaceTime almost every day. They miss each other, but they’re fine and making it work.”
Jenner was last seen with Chalamet during a July holiday in Saint-Tropez, France, where the pair were photographed strolling along Pampelonne Beach.
They were first linked in April 2023 but have largely kept their relationship private.
Speaking to Elle magazine in October 2024, Jenner said she preferred discretion in her personal life.
“I think it’s important to keep things to yourself. The opinion of the whole world…it can be tough,” she said.
The reality star, who shares two children—Stormi, seven, and Aire, three—with former partner Travis Scott, has often spoken about her commitment to motherhood.
In an interview with British Vogue, Jenner said her children were her greatest support. “No matter what I’m going through or what the internet writes about me that day, I come home and my kids just love me unconditionally,” she said.
