Kyiv Will not Forgive Moscow: Zelenskyy

KYIV: Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelenskyy has condemned strikes on his country and accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of hiding, as blasts rocked locations across Ukraine on the last day of 2023.

People across Ukraine were asked to take cover on New Year’s Eve amid what officials in Ukraine said was a bombardment of Russian missiles.

Kyiv’s mayor Vitali Klitschko said that one person was killed and 20 wounded in blasts in the capital city. In a video message on his social media account, Zelenskyy vowed that Moscow would lose and Russia will not be forgiven.

He added: “Thank you to everybody who secures Ukraine! ” The President also lauded energy workers who have been repairing damage to the country’s power networks following waves of Russian attacks.
