KYIV: Ukraine’s foreign minister Dmytro Kuleba said Monday that they want a summit to end the war but he doesn’t expect Moscow to take part in it. He told Associated Press that Kyiv wants a “peace” summit within sixty days at the United Nations (UN) with Secretary-General as mediator.

Dmytro Kuleba said that Moscow must face a war crimes tribunal before Ukraine directly talks with Russia. He added, however, that other countries should feel free to engage with Moscow, as happened before a grain deal between Russia and Turkiye.

Kuleba said he was “satisfied” with the outcome of President Zelensky’s visit to Washington last week, and he disclosed that the US had made a plan to get the Patriot missile battery ready to be operational in his country in less than 6 months. He said that his country will do whatever it can in order to win the war in the next year.
