ISLAMABAD: Kuwaiti government’s resignation was accepted on Thursday through an Emiri decree, as reported by the state news agency KUNA.
Prime Minister of Kuwait, Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Sabah, had submitted his cabinet’s resignation on Monday to the country’s Crown Prince, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
According to a statement by Barrak Al-Shaitan, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, the reason behind the resignation was a deadlock on various issues with the legislative authority during the National Assembly’s 17th legislative term’s first session.

Al-Shaitan maintained that, in this matter, Crown Prince Sheikh Meshal would take necessary action, keeping in mind, the best interests of the country.
The resignation comes just four months after the government was sworn in.
