DUBAI: A former Kuwaiti minister has been referred to the public prosecution on suspicion of facilitating the misappropriation of funds and causing harm to the state’s finances.
The Kuwait Anti-Corruption Authority has announced the measure as it expressed resolve to continue its fight to protect public funds and thanked “whistleblowers” for giving information that led to arrests. The authority has also reaffirmed that it would ensure the safety of people who chose to collaborate with its anti-corruption probes.
