DUBAI: Kuldeep Yadav and Shivam Dube produced a devastating bowling display as India bundled out the United Arab Emirates for just 57 runs in 13.1 overs in their Asia Cup 2025 Group A match on Wednesday.

India, who won the toss and opted to field first under hot Dubai skies, dominated UAE batters with only opening pair of UAE entered into double figures.

Kuldeep Yadav Spins a Web

The left-arm wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav was unplayable on the slow, turning surface, finishing with 4 wickets for just 11 runs in his 3-over spell. He dismissed the UAE skipper Muhammad Waseem, as well as key batters Rahul Chopra, Harshit Kaushik, and Haider Ali, breaking the backbone of the batting order.

Dube’s All-Round Spark

Shivam Dube, better known for his power hitting, showed his value with the ball, bagging 3 wickets for 8 runs. He cleaned up the tail swiftly, claiming Asif Khan, Dhruv Parashar, and Junaid Siddique with intelligent variations.

Bumrah Strikes Early

It was Jasprit Bumrah who set the tone by removing opener Alishan Sharafu, who was looking dangerous with a brisk 22 off 17. His wicket in the fourth over started UAE’s rapid collapse.

UAE’s Batting Crumbles

No batter apart from Sharafu and Waseem managed to reach double figures. The middle and lower order offered little resistance, with eight batters failing to score more than 3 runs. UAE lost their last 9 wickets for just 31 runs.

India now need just 58 runs to win, and barring a miracle, should coast to victory and seal their spot in the Super Four.
