NEW YORK: King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) and United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) have signed an agreement to ensure children’s welfare around the world, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Monday.
Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of KSrelief Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah signed the agreement with UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell on the sidelines of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
KSrelief and UNICEF to boost their strategic partnership
As per the agreement KSrelief and UNICEF will work together to boost their strategic partnership.
Al Rabeeah on the occasion said Saudi Arabia is eager to form strategic partnerships, particularly with UNICEF. He added the agreement aims to continue the efforts to reach vulnerable and disadvantaged children and their families under the UNICEF programs.

Russell in her remarks said UNICEF is thankful for its partnership with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and KSrelief, which has always helped the UN body to reach millions of children in need.
She went on to say through this cooperation both organizations will continue to cooperate in humanitarian action, knowledge sharing, capacity building, innovation, and support for the volunteering program.
The agreement is part of KSrelief’s efforts to increase cooperation with regional and international humanitarian organizations to improve humanitarian work.
