RIYADH: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center’s officials in Port Sudan has held a meeting with the chief of Sudan’s Red Crescent Society Dr. Khalil Sarbel and discussed humanitarian and relief activities in the country, Arab media reported on Monday.

The two sides also discussed ways to provide urgent aid and help from Saudi Arabia to crisis-hit areas of Sudan. Dr. Sarbel thanked the government of Saudi Arabia for its continuous support and help to people of Sudan. The head of Sudan Crescent Society said that the latest royal directive to give $100 million worth of aid and help to the people of Sudan and the organization of a charity drive via the Sahem platform is considered one of the major sources of aid and help provided by foreign nations. Various flights carrying ten tons of relief and aid each have arrived at Port Sudan and airport in the past week.
