RED SEA STATE: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has dispatched 21 relief trucks in Sudan carrying 23,000 food baskets and 3,464 shelter kits to meet the urgent humanitarian needs of the people affected by the recent flashfloods in Sudan, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Wednesday.
Saudi ambassador to Sudan, representatives of relief organizations, and national partners attended the aid’s launching ceremony at Suakin port in Red Sea State. The assistance comes within the framework of the Saudi relief air bridge, operated by KSrelief, to help the brotherly Sudanese people.
The relief is sent on the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The aid is an embodiment of the noble humanitarian role played by the Kingdom towards brotherly and friendly nations.
