ADEN: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has been a beacon of hope for mine victims in Yemen, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). Through its Prosthetic Limbs and Rehabilitation Center in Aden, KSrelief has provided essential services to thousands of people affected by the devastating conflict, the SPA reported.
According to the SPA, in the sixth phase of the project, from September 2023 to June 2024, the center had provided prosthetic limbs, orthotic devices, and physiotherapy to around 2,961 patients. This also included the installation of around 413 new prosthetic limbs and the maintenance of 450 existing ones.
KSrelief’s efforts also extend beyond providing medical and health care. The center has worked to localize and enhance rehabilitation services, empowering local staff as well as ensuring the highest quality of care.
In addition to its rehabilitation efforts, KSrelief’s Masam Project, has dedicated to clearing mines in Yemen, has helped clear 458,477 mines from Yemen, significantly declining the risk of injuries.
These initiatives reflect the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) unwavering commitment to humanitarian aid and its dedication to supporting those affected by conflict, the SPA reported.
