KSrelief Provides Prosthetic Limbs to 216 Civilians in Yemen’s Marib

RIYADH: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has extended support to 216 civilians who lost their limbs during the war in Yemen, providing them with prosthetic limbs in the month of April.

The initiative aims to offer medical assistance and rehabilitation services to individuals who have suffered devastating injuries during the conflict, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency.

The Prosthetic Limbs and Rehabilitation Center project, located in Marib Governorate, has played a crucial role in delivering these services to citizens who have been affected by amputations.

The center manufactured and fitted prosthetic limbs, and additionally provided rehabilitation sessions, including physiotherapy, for 60 patients. Moreover, 156 patients received specialized consultations to address their specific needs.

Yemen War Resulted in Several Amputations Among Civilians

The relentless war in Yemen has resulted in numerous amputations among civilians, leaving them in dire need of support and assistance. KSrelief has been actively engaged in offering aid and relief to those affected, particularly individuals whose lives have been irrevocably altered by bombs and landmines.

In a separate effort, KSrelief successfully distributed 75 food packages to over 549 displaced families in Gezira state, Sudan, as part of the ongoing Saudi relief air bridge aimed at aiding the Sudanese people.
