The event was held at the League’s headquarters in Cairo on June 20th and 21st, and representatives of regional and global organizations, civil society, and other key stakeholders attended it, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Wednesday.

KSrelief director for the community support department Hana Omar Salem Omar, said that the center has, in coordination with UNESCO constituted an approach covering the period from 2022 to 2027 that highlights the significance of girls having complete access to quality education.

KSrelief has also established initiatives to enhance the social cohesion between the host communities and refugees by increasing awareness of women’s rights and fighting the exploitation and abuse that they might confront, she added. The center also provides social and psychological support for women, as training programs, and counseling.

Omar said that the current conflict in Sudan has an effect on girls and women as a large number of women displaced by the conflict. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is hosting refugees from the African country, she added.

Saudi Arabia will continue to help all efforts that contribute to protecting women’s rights and dignity in conflict zones, she maintained. She called for the better coordination of regional and global efforts to establish more inclusive solutions.
