KSrelief Opens Football Academy for Syrian Refugees in Jordan

RIYADH: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has opened a football academy for Syrian refugee kids at Al-Zaatari refugee camp in Jordan, Arab media reported on Thursday.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the academy, in cooperation and coordination with the Saudi Football Federation, will provide full training for as many as 25 fresh coaches. The academy will also teach children football skills to enable them to become professional players.

The SPA reported that on qualifying the children will be eligible for a level C certificate from the FIFA. The initiative is part of the KSrelief volunteering program and will include as many as 12 volunteers.

Meanwhile, The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center – in cooperation with Saudi “Ma’aden” – also provided 110,000 kg agricultural seeds and fertilizers to flood-hit people to benefit over 1000 needy families in Malawi.

Both programs come within the framework of the relief efforts provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia via its KSrelief, to help affected nations and people across the world.
