RIYADH: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has benefited over one million people in 18 countries under ‘Etaam’ project during the holy month of Ramadan, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Monday.
KSrelief has gained widespread acknowledgment for its unwavering support and extensive reach for those in need across different circumstances and tribulations.
One of these humanitarian projects is the support for food security during Ramadan for the current year. The center initiated the Ramadan Food Basket Distribution Program (Etaam), aiming to address food needs and improve the living conditions of the vulnerable groups in several nations during the holy month.
KSrelief, through the implementation of this project, successfully reached over 1 million beneficiaries in 18 nations, giving 195,583 baskets with essential food items. The Etaam project is among various humanitarian programs and projects the KSrelief has initiated to end the suffering of nations and communities across the world.
KSrelief, since its establishment, has reached 98 countries, carrying out 2,829 humanitarian and relief projects worth $6 billion, targeting vital sectors such as education, food, health, nutrition, water, environmental sanitation, shelter, and other fields. These initiatives have helped millions of vulnerable and needy groups in the targeted nations worldwide.
