ADEN: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), which operates the Masam project to clear landmines in Yemen, effectively removed 856 mines from different regions during the third week of July 2023.

The cleared mines include 780 unexploded ordnance pieces, four explosive devices, 71 anti-tank mines, and one anti-personnel mine.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is still committed to removing Yemen’s lands of deadly mines through the Masam initiative, which is being carried out by its humanitarian branch, KSrelief.

This effort aims to help Yemen’s people live a safe, secure, and decent life, free from the threat caused by these explosive devices. —SPA/APP
