RIYADH: A team from the Saudi aid agency, KSrelief, operating from the Egyptian capital Cairo, is actively involved in facilitating the delivery of essential aid to the Gaza Strip.
The initiative, reported by the Saudi Press Agency, underscores the Kingdom’s commitment to providing humanitarian assistance to those in need.
KSrelief officials engaged in discussions with key partners in the humanitarian sector, including the executive director of the Egyptian Red Crescent, Rami Al-Nazer, UNICEF representative Jeremy Hopkins, and Dr. Ahmed Al-Mandhari, the Regional Director of the World Health Organization (WHO) for the Eastern Mediterranean.
The focus of the meetings revolved around expediting the transportation of crucial supplies, such as shelter materials, food baskets, and medical provisions, through the Rafah Border Crossing, aiming to reach the Gaza Strip swiftly.

This coordinated effort is in alignment with the directives of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, reaffirming Saudi Arabia’s commitment to aiding the Palestinian people in Gaza. To mobilize support for this mission, KSrelief recently launched a national campaign on the Sahem platform, calling on individuals and organizations to contribute to the relief efforts.
As of the latest update, the donations received have surpassed an impressive milestone, with the contributions totaling over $112 million. This substantial support underscores the collective determination to provide much-needed assistance to the people of Gaza during these challenging times.
The collaborative approach taken by KSrelief and its engagement with international partners like the Egyptian Red Crescent, UNICEF, and the WHO reflects the concerted efforts to alleviate suffering and provide essential relief to those affected by the crisis in Gaza.
