RIYADH: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has initiated various humanitarian projects in Lebanon, Pakistan, and Sudan.

The Saudi Noor Voluntary Programme was launched in Karachi to combat blindness in the city. KSrelief, in collaboration with Al-Basar International Foundation, will examine more than 50,000 cases, perform more than 5,000 operations, and distribute 12,000 pairs of glasses to needy patients.

Additionally, KSrelief distributed 2,155 food parcels in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan provinces, helping 15,085 people in the regions affected by the devastating floods.

In the meantime, 81 emergency missions were completed by the Subul Al-Salam Social Association’s ambulance service in Al-Minya, Lebanon, in coordination with KSrelief.

The task list included taking patients to and from hospitals and giving injured people access to ambulance services. Additionally, KSrelief provided 500kg of food boxes to 930 recipients on Friday in Kassala State, Sudan.

This program is a component of the 2023 Food Security Enhancement Project, which aims to provide food security for people in need.
