KSrelief Completes 1st Phase of Food Security Project in Pakistan: Officials

ISLAMABAD: King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre has announced the successful accomplishment of the 1st phase of its food security project in Pakistan for 2023-24, officials said in a statement on Saturday.

According to the press statement, issued by KSrelief as many as 184,800 deserving people in Pakistan had so far benefitted from the program.

“(KSrelief is pleased to announce the successful completion of the 1st phase of our food security project in Pakistan for the year for the year 2023-24,” KSrelief said in the statement.

In collaboration with National Disaster Management Authority of Pakistan, the KSrelief added it had distributed more than 26,400 food packages, weighing around 2,508 tons, among flood-hit families and other deserving people in twelve districts across the South Asian country.

“The first phase of this program has positively impacted the lives of more than 184,800 beneficiaries across Pakistan,” the statement maintained.

According to Arab News, earlier, KSrelief also arranged 12 relief camps in the urban and rural areas of Pakistan’s Balochistan and Sindh provinces, also conducting 5,000 surgeries to combat eye diseases in these provinces.
