KSrelief Clears 1,390 Mines in Yemen in a Week

ADEN: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center’s (KSrelief) Masam Project, has successfully cleared 1,390 mines across various regions of Yemen during the fourth week of July 2024, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Tuesday.

Under the project 5 anti-personnel mines, 47 anti-tank mines, 1,337 unexploded ordnances, and 1 explosive device were dismantled.

So far 4,230 landmines were cleared in July raising the total number of mines removed since the beginning of the Masam Project to 453,298. These landmines were planted across various areas of Yemen, aiming to claim more innocent victims, including women, children and the elderly.
